We are modern without being fashionable, and rather timeless and reduced than opulent. Our ambition is to make designer bathrooms come alive by persuing this consistent design language. - Dr. Frank Richter -

Duravit – living bathrooms

As one of the most dynamic groups of companies operating in the sanitary industry, Duravit AG develops and manufactures sanitary ceramics, bathroom furniture, shower trays and bathtubs, whirl and wellness systems, shower-toilets, kitchen sinks and accessories for the international market. Overall, Duravit operates with more than 30 affiliated companies and is present in almost 120 countries. Manufacture takes place in Germany and at several international locations: Egypt, China, France, India, Tunisia and Turkey. The company has a workforce of some 5,700 employees around the world.

The company philosophy is about “living bathrooms”, and this is reflected in the collaboration with high-profile designers, such as Philippe Starck, EOOS, Phoenix Design, Sieger Design, Sergei Tchoban and Matteo Thun. This results in innovative new products with which Duravit continues to set new standards – for different budgets and lifestyles. The company not only regards itself as a think-tank for beautiful design products but it also focuses on the overall design of spa bathrooms that enhance quality of life.

Duravit's great affinity with design is also consistently reflected in the company’s headquarters in Hornberg. The genius behind the imposing building, officially opened at the end of 2004, was top French designer Philippe Starck. The existing company building was extended by about 5,000 m² of usable floor space, divided over four floors. The “Duravit Design Center” not only includes offices but also a bathroom showroom accessible to visitors that is spread over all levels; an informative and inviting experience encompassing all aspects of the bathroom, production, design and wellness.
