NiaFit, now in its third iteration, employs very complex mesh CAD computational algorithms over top of Unity 3D – a real-time 3D gaming and visualization platform. NiaFit allows health workers to manipulate digital models with familiar tools, similar to those used in traditional methods of device fabrication. NiaFit produces lower-limb prostheses and is being developed for other devices (e.g., upper-limb devices, splints, braces, cranial helmets, etc.). We also plan to include machine-learning features to provide health workers with computer-generated design recommendations.
