COMPUTEX d&i awards 2018: The results are in!

On 15 and 16 May 2018, a jury panel comprised of six international experts gathered in Taipei to assess the latest achievements of the ICT industry. The jury chose its winners following close examination and assessment of 212 entries submitted by participants from ten countries. Of the award-winning entries, three truly exceptional products were recognized with the most coveted honor, the COMPUTEX d&i gold award 2018, while three others were honored for outstanding achievements in the fields of Internet of Things, Start-ups, and Applications and Solutions.

The selections were made by a jury composed of six experts representing different specialized fields. They are: Amina Horozić (Amina Horozić, Switzerland), Feng-Kwei Wang (Chinese Culture University, Taiwan), Georg Todtenbier (CRE8 DESIGN, Taiwan), Kyle Hsiao (VIVO, China), Richard Lai (Engadget Chinese, China) and Yasunari Nishioka (Sony (China) Limited, China).

The complete list of the award-winners will be published on the iF WORLD DESIGN GUIDE and on the COMPUTEX website on 5 June 2018.

The COMPUTEX d&i awards 2018 are organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and implemented by iF DESIGN ASIA Ltd. Thomas Huang, Executive Director Exhibition Department at TAITRA, was delighted with the results and accomplishment: 'For the first time, three new categories were added to the competition to stimulate the transformation of the COMPUTEX TAIPEI. This is our main focus and we will keep moving towards this direction.

Many entries submitted to these new categories did surprise the jurors and were recognized by the high-profile panel of judges. That truly meant something to us as the organizer of COMPUTEX TAIPEI and the COMPUTEX d&i awards.

Hardware manufacturing is still a major part of the industry. Through the COMPUTEX d&i awards, we hope the tradeshow would go on a more forward-looking path with higher potential and more possibility, and in turn encourage the industry to move from manufacturing to where the future trends lead.'

Awards ceremony
All award-winners will be honored at the ceremony on 4 and 5 June 2018, where winners will receive their award certificates and trophies on stage.
