Rong-Tai Lin (born 1953) is a professor at the National Taiwan University of Arts and head of the Graduate School of Creative Industry Design at the university’s Design College. Since 2012, he has also been the president of the Taiwan Design Center. He received both his MSc and PhD from the Tufts University’s School of Engineering (USA), after graduating in industrial management from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology and in industrial design from the Mingchi Institute of Technology. He has published more than 150 papers and has been a speaker at more than 100 international industry congresses. Among other roles, he is a board member of the China Industrial Design Association and of the Human Factors Ergonomics Society (USA). His research interests focus on ergonomic aspects in product design, on human-computer interaction and on cognitive approaches in design. (March 2018)
