Vita

James Shyr is the Chief Design Officer at Huaren Technology R&D Company in Shanghai, China. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in transportation design from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, USA, he became the longest serving Director of Design at PATAC of General Motors China, General Motors Asia Pacific Operation, based-off Shanghai; as well as being one of the eight members of the “GM Global Design Leadership Team”, from 2001 until 2007. During his tenure with GM, he had designed some of the best selling vehicles in China, with nearly 10 million vehicles on the road today. After his services with General Motors, he took up a position as the Executive Vice President of HAITEC Design Center, Yulon Group and was responsible for the design of the Luxgen line of vehicles, prior to his current appointment.
