Alessandra Soresina, Italy
Alessandra Soresina is a wildlife biologist, an author, a photographer and a ski instructor. After completing her studies in wildlife sciences in Milan, she moved to Tanzania and worked there for a mammal-monitoring project. Thanks to her work, it was possible to create the Saadani National Park. For the past five years, she has devoted her work to the lions. During the winter, she works as a ski instructor in Italy to support the “Tarangire Lion Project” (Tanzania) financially as well. She is currently also involved in a monitoring project in Mozambique, Tanzania and Gabon to create new game reserves. Soresina is one of the few female guides in Tanzania. She works for all the major Italian magazines and TV stations. (September 2012)
