Claus-Christian Eckhardt studied industrial design at the Braunschweig University of Art (Germany). After graduating, he worked as a designer and interior designer for Silvestrin Design, as product designer for Blaupunkt and as head of design for Bosch. He subsequently led the design activities of Tenovis and Avaya. Since 2000, he has also worked as a freelance designer. In 2001 he was appointed professor and head of the industrial design faculty at the University of Lund (Sweden), where he later became director of the newly founded School of Industrial Design.
