Knut Bliesener (born 1938; died 2014) graduated in design from the Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Germany). He was an important design consultant to, among others, Hannover Medical School and the company Geha Werke. In 1981 he opened his own design studio. His work has been recognized with more than 300 international design awards, and some of his work is shown in industrial design museums. Knut Bliesener was a member of the iF product design award jury (four times) and, until his death on 2 March 2014, he was an honorary member of iF Industrie Forum Design Hannover e.V. (May 2014)
