Bill Moggridge (* 1943 in London, † September 8th, 2012 in San Francisco) developed in 1980 GRiD Compass, the first laptop. Pioneer of interaction design, a concept he himself created. Founded his own product design and product development studio in London; worked for clients world-wide. He was a member of IDEO Product Development, San Francisco, where he was responsible for developing strategic concepts and international services. Moreover, he worked as a visiting lecturer of interaction design at the Royal College of Art, London, the London Business School and Stanford University, California. (2005)
