Meet leading Brazilian design persons and join an intensive discussion on sustainability!

The event will present some design professional point of view regarding the theme "DESIGN AND SUSTAINABILITY". They will answer the follow questions:

  • How can design contribute for society to build a better world?
  • How do you imagine design in the near future?

Letícia Castro is currently Superintendent Director from Centro Brasil Design, being responsible for more than ten projects to promote and support design in Brazil. She now leads numerous courses and workshops and is a member of various design juries. Letícia has been working in the fields of design management, strategic design, design thinking and public policies for 20 years.

Ronald Kapaz

Ronald Kapaz

Ronald Kapaz graduated in architecture from the University of São Paulo in 1979, when he founded, with two colleagues, Oz Strategy+Design, which had a recognized trajectory of constitution, innovation and leadership in the Brazilian market and in the design culture in the country. Today he is Head Designer, CSO and co-founder of Playground Lab Design, and follows his 41-year professional trajectory exploring, without ever concluding and never stopping, the power and extension of the value of design.

Angela Carvalho

Angela Carvalho, a Brazilian Designer, graduated in Industrial Design and got the postgraduate degree in Design by Scuola Politecnica Design of Milan, Italy. Her scholarship was at Krupp Foundation Stuttgart, Germany. In 2010 she launched her own brand: Angela Carvalho – conscious design. The focus is on sustainable design projects, social and environmental innovation.

Gustavo Greco is the founder and Creative Director of Greco Design, specializing in visual identity, signage and editorial projects. The company positions its work as a daily and continuous effort of sharing, renovation and re-signification through meaningful projects that utilize information as the main input.

Design can contribute for society to build a better world through solution economically viable, socially fair and environmentally correct.

How do you imagine design in the near future?

Design can contribute to a better society and a better world through the design professionals that has the know-how to use design as a problem solve and find the right solution to the right issue.
