People with visual impairments can often feel confused while climbing or descending stairs due to the lack of visual cues and require assistance. BlindS combines N and U shapes to create an S-shaped handrail, thus allowing visually-impaired people to determine their location.
The N and U-shaped handrails feature Braille prompts to provide the visually-impaired with information. Different materials are used for the Braille messages, making it easier to access this information.
The U and N-shaped handrails respectively alert the visually-impaired person that he has reached the bottom or top of the staircase.
