When we cut the objects, we find the blade is often deflected and off the line, even when there a ruler is placed to help. Therefore, the design is to add the magnetism to one side of the ruler, so the blade can be attached to the ruler, in order to keep the cutting line straight.
The upper side of the parallelogram is to prevent the blade from hurting the ruler, and the lower side of the parallelogram is designed for pen.
The shape of the ruler is in parallelogram. The shape of this ruler will also allow the consumer to pick up the ruler easily, a solution to the problem of picking up rulers.
