Wakeboard-winching as a phenomenon is the offspring of regular wakeboarding behind a motorboat. Instead of boats they use a winch to pull them through a variety of surroundings.
Together, one rider and one operator, have endless possibilities of different venues to ride in.
I had the opportunity to follow and interact with two users who had been using their home-made winches for a couple of years. With their input and knowledge, a new winch was designed and constructed with mobility, co-operation and local manufacturing in mind.
