Braille Buddy is a 2-phase educational device aiding the visually impaired in the learning of Braille. The phases include 1. teaching of reading and writing through the Braille-Cell, and 2. practice of standard Braille keyboard. Braille Buddy, through its moving handles, draws an intuitive transition between the two phases of reading (using the cell) and writing (using standard keyboard) which through interviews with Braille teachers and visually impaired students have been noted as the most difficult stage of Braille learning.
