Prince Peacock / poster

Prince Peacock

The Paiwan’s apparel is stunningly exquisite. They are usually embroidered with geometric shapes and the major colors of black, orange, green, yellow, and red. The idea of this work is from Paiwan’s extraordinary apparel. The peacock is ornamented with the common geometric shapes on Paiwan’s garments. The beautiful beads dropping down from the peacock’s wings are arranged in lineation on peacock’s display tail feathers with intent to represent the practical use of beads stringing into necklaces and bracelets, as well as to serve as a symbol of Paiwan’s different ranks.
