I have a sister who pulled out all the stops during childhood to avoid taking out the garbage, so naturally I ended up as the one in the family with the job.

An inspiration hit me one cold day out while waiting for the garbage truck, that if a trashcan can automatically seal and pack the bag, the odor and the cockroach problem can be greatly reduced, and might even cure my sister of her mysophobia.
