When two people are walking with one umbrella, raindrops coming from the edge often damp the clothes. We use the form and function of cornices in ancient Chinese architecture as an inspiration to design this "FEIYAN UMBRELLA", which is able to make raindrops from the edge follow the parabola and keep shoulders dry. It is light and graceful like birds' spreading their wings to get ready for flight. "FEIYAN UMBRELLA" is an modern application example using ancient Chinese architects' wisdom.
