The concept >> Rückenwind >> grants disabled people access to an independent and facile locomotion throughout their daily routine. A wheelchair was created to ease the passage of every day obstacles and barriers by the use of an electric auxiliary drive. Another advantage of this concept is an in-ride adjustable track width. This leads to an enhancement of power transmission, maneuverability and stability without compromising the drivers ability to pass through narrow passages and facilitates every day motion overall. It is suitable to be used for amateur- and rehabilitation sports and allows to improve vitality without overstraining the user
