An Intelligent Guide System for the Blinds

The purpose of this design is to help the blind to walk safely. This design combined a white walking stick, the Android system for smart phones, and the Arduino microcomputer board to implement devices such as camera, electric compass, and G-Sensor in an Android cell phone. Also, with Arduino microcomputer board, this design can be connected with different sensory devices (e.g. ultrasonic sensor) to create a customized guiding system, guiding blind users to avoid danger and find correct directions.
