Sare riceball / Teaware

Sare riceball
Sare riceball

Rice ball is a kind of traditional festival dessert in Taiwan, representing the full moon as the symbol of reunion and everything's going well. With clever combination of both, the image of rice balls is merged into the design of teaware. The red and white small rice balls’ teacups can be used by one person and for sharing. Bottom of the cups were pained with pattern of rice balls. Pouring hot tea into the teacup can express warm feelings, just like drinking a glass of ginger juice with rice balls. The small rice balls cups were made of two semi-circular materials and can be shared to help narrow the distance between people.
