Swipe Type
Swipe Type

Swipe Type is a usable and adaptive UI to enable the blind & visually impaired people to type on a modern touch base smartphone device.
The concept is based on the Braille system. Each segment of the circular keypad corresponds to the respective Braille dots and a user has to simply slide over the corresponding segments to type a character.
A plastic screen cover with protruding tactile creases adds the overall usability of the UI enabling the user to understand the scaling factor and in locating the SwipeType home key.
