PLANT / Growing Chamber for Space

PLANT

PLANT is a concept developed in collaboration with experts and astronauts from NASA at Johnson Space Center in Houton. It enables the astronauts to grow food on a long duration space flights in a clean, easy and safe way.
The grown vegetables are meant to be an addition to the daily diet of an astronaut, giving him the sensation of fresh food. The design consist of three elements: The pillow, which contains the seed and hydroponic media. The watering device, that is used to puncture and activate the pillow at the same time. And as well the implementation of growing chambers, that indicates the harvesting cycles into the spaceship.
