After a disaster strikes, the rescue of victims is one of the first courses of action. A lack of rescue personnel or limited time can mean that many of the wounded are not rescued in a timely fashion. it can be carried into a disaster area by an individual rescuer. It can be folded into a compact unit and carried on the back with straps, which optimises manpower and speeds up the rescue process. It can also be pushed out of the disaster area by a single rescuer. When the two-wheeled stretcher is unfolded, its retractable legs and large-span wheels ensure stability. They are retracted by the push of a switch near the handles.
