Wave Harvester is a new type of Wave Energy Converter device which uses the pressure obtainable from the waves by a floating and submerged actuators and the ions dissolved in at least one ionic solution (such as seawater) to produce electricity.
In one work cycle, a set of anionics and cationics nanorods housed in an energy chamber reach an ionic saturation and then are regenerated, producing an electric field.
Saturation and regeneration of the nanorods are based on an adsorption and desorption phenomenon catalyzed by pressure and / or by the use of a high concentration solution and a washing low concentration ionic solution.
