Voronelli is a concept for a computer generated, custom, soft bicycle helmet. The measurements of a user can be insert into a program that uses mathematical algorithms to calculate a shape that fits perfectly and protects the areas where it is needed. That shape can be unfolded, laser-cut from leather and sewed together with a layer of D3O, a soft material that gets stiff on impact, in between. Like that Voronelli combines the heritage of vintage bicycle helmets with up to date technology and manufacturing processes.
