The tangible tabletop interface »Stadtplanung« is a tool to be applied in urban planning discussion rounds.
Planning a city requires an intense exchange of ideas and opinions as well as coordinating many departments and experts. Therefore the interactive table focuses on supporting collaboration and takes advantage of digital maps.
The users can customize their map projection easily using tangible knobs and physical working windows. These tools empower several planners to simultaneously zoom and pan the map to focus on specific areas. The tangible map library allows planners to add, remove and overlay map layers to extract precise details.
