Changing Flowerpot / Product design

Changing Flowerpot
Changing Flowerpot

When you are busy with work or on holidays away from home, you may forget to water your plants. The Flowerpot makes use of the inner wall of the pot to store water and form a kind of ‘waterbag’. When the soil turns dry, the water will permeate into the soil through a permeable membrane to supply water. The interesting thing is when the ‘waterbag’ is fully filled, due to gravity, the outside structure of the pot will be pressed lower. Along with the vaporation, the water in the ‘waterbag’ reduces and elastic structure slowly heighten, like a transforming Asian lantern. When reaching the highest point, it reminds people to water the plants.
