autonoMi is a personal security alarm for elderly individuals intended to facilitate independent living. Unlike conventional personal alarms the device is intended to be used outdoors and can notify a specified contact when the user needs assistance. The alarm can be activated both manually and can be triggered automatically if the user falls. Once the alarm has being activated there is a 60 second period in which the user can deactivate the alarm before the actual SOS message is sent to the intended contact. If the alarm is activated accidentally the pending message can be terminated before alerting help. The device utilises GPS tracking.
