The traditional bookmarket is looking somewhat worried in the direction of ist electronic competitor – the e-book. But new technology does not eventually supersede the old media. A book chain store had the task on hand to configure a spatial development concept to combine the classic print media with the development of the new media. The theme of networking is transferred into the room, a consistent technical design language is found in all the departments and on the facade. This concept enables the reader to use the medial component of a book on all levels in the store.
