In the current market, the frame of a regular umbrella tends to turn upward or break due to a strong wind force. The high strength, better elastic recovery capability and high corrosion resistance of a novel Ti-Sn-Mo alloy were applied in the design of ‘Typhoon Umbrella’. Compared with conventional usage of stainless steel or aluminum alloy, the Ti-Sn-Mo alloy can improve the strength and flexibility of the umbrella frame to withstand violent wind. Moreover, this novel umbrella is easy to carry around due to its lightweight frame.
