Rapid climate change often causes mudslides in the areas where intensive rainfalls are more likely to happen. Being able to detect the intensity of rainfall has become a life-saving issue. Our device applies the core technique Large-square pressure sensor array, powered by solar energy, to detect the pressure and the timing of the rainfall and estimate the density of the rain. When the density reaches the critical level, Rain Warning will be activated and send warning messages via wireless cloud device. It buys precious time for the government to evacuate residents from the affected areas before mudslides happen.
