Penny / Spinning bike

Penny
Penny

Penny is a spinning bike for home usage. It is inspired by the classical Penny Farthing Bicycle, that was constructed by one large wheel and one smaller. Penny is inspired by a Penny farthing sunk in to the ground, only displaying one arch over the floor. To enhance the feeling of the bike continuing under the floor, I wanted the stabilizing legs to mimic the movement of a diving whale. My objective was to create a bike that could be proudly displayed in your home. It was to be an artwork as well as an efficient piece of training equipment. The handle bar, seat and the pedals are removable if the user wishes to disguise their fitness routine.
