The concept for this idea is simple I wanted to create something that would increase the survival rate of people who were caught in the wake of a natural disaster in particularly tsunamis. I noticed people would often climb to the roofs as a way to escape the water it was this that inspired me if the roof was to be torn off by the water then it could be used as a life raft giving the people precious moments to be rescued. I believe this to be a life saving technology that would be easily implemented into the construction of a roof via various design configurations thus giving victims of natural disasters a greatly improved chance of survival.
