Observing different craftsmen, I've notice that they all improvise, often creating tools by the means and materials that surround them.
The project started with an improvised model, two boards held by a clamp, which together became a standing construction. This model led me to design a set of knock-down stools assembled by the same principle. The result is a DIY stool, assembled with a single clamp based joint integrated with one of the legs that locks the construction together, giving it its strength.
In this project, I call "from improvisation to design", I wanted to create the same kind of experience when the user becomes the craftsman.
