The task was to develop an iPad / iPhone app for the successful Mercedes-Benz.tv Web TV platform. According to the brand’s claim for leadership, the design of the app bridges the gap between the past and the future. Basis of the User Interface is a digital filmstrip, which shows the film contents as a sequence of individual images. The consistent color-coding of the various Mercedes-Benz.tv channels and the intuitive multi-touch navigation provide maximum joy of use. New functions such as the news channel and the playlist function exceed the online version – bringing the user a unique screen experience in a mobile format.

With this app you can explore the multi-facetted world of Mercedes Benz via video. Just switch on and watch. Attractive interface design and reduction to essentials provide very good usability. Users can choose among 7 categories and can download and share contents. The playlist in particular creates a mobile TV feeling.
