House on the Peak

Discipline: Interior Architecture

The ceiling of the sitting room on the lower floor is extraordinarily high, creating sufficient spaciousness. To avoid a feeling of hugeness and emptiness, the sitting room is specially designed with various materials and layouts, enhancing the sense of layer inside the house while also highlighting the spatial variation. The staircase offers a fine and light feeling and the wall between the living and dining room and the sitting room on the upper floor is removed so that one’s line of vision can run through both rooms at the same time, creating a wider space visually and enhancing the connection between various spaces.
