Bicycles are designed for long term dynamic use. The related tightening features face mechanical risks and failures of loosening and fatigue. It is found that regular spring washers are not a good solution in an environment with vibrations. With BosGrip (anti-loosening and high fatigue resistance), the ribs underneath the screw head bite into the joined material.There is increased friction between the screw head and the assembly body. Through adjustments made in the manufacturing and heat treatment processes, the grain shape and crystal structure of BosGrip are optimized to avoid cracks growing along the grain boundaries during long term periodic movement.
