Discipline: Communication

Discipline: Communication

Starting point of the signage is the street number visualized in roman numerals: XVI. As cross (X), arrow (V) and line (I) they are basis of the graphic concept. At the same time they are a historical link to the roman origin of Cologne. Starting with these elements, a logo, an orientation system and a succinct, modifiable pattern have been developed. The pattern describes traces of movement and visualizes the Friesenplatz as a place of exchange and communication in Cologne.
