Berlin Heroes – an initiative by the Berlin daily newspaper B. Z. inviting to show more civil involvement. With its campaign Berlin Heroes, the Berlin newspaper B. Z. appeals to all Berliners to show more voluntary commitment. It reports every day about projects in need of help: reading to elderly people, cleaning up parks or refurbishing a home for animals – everyone can become involved and become a “Berlin Hero”. The reporting is supported by the Berlin Heroes website, posters, radio spots and outdoor activities. The motives have an activating effect and contribute to the identification with the Berlin Heroes.
