The Helmholtz Zentrum München conducts research into chronic and complex diseases which arise from the interaction of environmental factors and individual genetic disposition. The center is organized in institutes which have different research foci. In order to optimize the public perception of the center, the research foci can be communicated as independent units. To this end, logos were developed which come under the overarching brand of the Helmholtz Zentrum and are clearly related to its corporate design, but are also individual and distinctive; in each case, the transparent elements represent the relevant research focus.
