Lap Mouse / Input Device for the Elderly

Lap Mouse

Lap Mouse is a computer input device for senior citizens. They can have Lap Mouse sit on their lap, control the computer using trackball, and move things around using “Lift-and-Drag” mechanism.
Lap Mouse borrowed the mechanism of trackball mouse, which is better for people with arthritis and other muscular limitation. “Lift-and-Drag” mechanism of Lap Mouse comes from everyday action of moving things. When moving an object, we simply lift it up and move its position and release. As a result, whole concept of dragging items on the screen becomes more direct, making it easier for senior computer users to understand the action better.
