Ant / Nesting table

The form of "Ant" creates function and allows transformation. The top layer of the table can be pulled up to create extra storage area below it. The most important point of the design is that the top layer can be pushed down and collapsed only by a certain way; by pushing down the side flaps first. This seemingly simple quality allows "Ant" to carry a surprising amount of weight despite being made of very thin sheet material. It is environmentally friendly because it optimizes the small amount of material that is used to make it. "Ant" can be stacked in both its collapsed and uncollapsed positions. Material can be plywood, or even cardboard.
