Thrive Portion Ware / Dishware

Thrive Portion Ware
Thrive Portion Ware

I was drawn to the topic of obesity because of a overweight cousin growing up. Research led me to focus on three moments of caloric intake: snacking, drinking, and mealtimes. The problem is we subconsciously consume too much.
For such a sensitive topic, the design had to be subtle, easy, and friendly.

Thrive Portion Ware uses friendly visual cues to help suggest to a person to consume less. People will continue to eat what they want and not make a dietary change until they themselves decide to. Thrive Portion Ware works as a catalyst toward that bigger change by focusing on preventing the habit of over consumption from developing.
