The project has been funded as a research study to explore digital design and digital fabrication methods.
Although digital design has found its way into the architecture profession, the respective fabrication methods are still underdeveloped. This project attempts to link design conception with non-standard fabrication into a linear process.
The built prototype is a structural self-supporting screen, filtering light and views through different degrees of transparencies while at the same time incorporating functional requirements of an entrance lobby space.
The prototype has been manufactured using parametric digital and analog processes.
