Chromo / Public Seating

Chromo
Chromo

Inspired from the structure of a DNA molecule, this public seating arrangement consists of only 4 major components: stackable and portable, providing a good degree of durability. Non-bulky and compact, the main tessellating form gives enough flexibility with colour, orientation and materials: wood, metal and plastics. Even managable in small spaces. The simple, yet dynamic form allows it to fit into any public transit space. These spaces are used by people unknown to each other, yet, in some way, connected. The seating will give the user a sense of personal space along with a sense of being connected with the person sitting alongside.
