HOST LAMP / Lamp

HOST LAMP

‘Host Lamp’ is designed to accommodate a fully integrated passenger appliance, in this case a small humidifier. The principle of the lamp is very simple–wasted heat energy emitted by the lamp bulb is captured and converted into electricity by TGMs (thermo-electric modules) charging two AA batteries, and then power the humidifier. This project is intended to usefully illustrate this principle and increase awareness surrounding issues of inefficient energy use. As we know, the tremendous waste heats are emitting from thousands of street lights, facilities and so on. If we can catch and reuse them, it would be good for the lack of energy issue.
