Moule / Ring / Ring, Moule symbolic form

Moule / Ring

This sleek and pure ring “Moule” made of Platinum is inspired by organic structures and alludes to the shape of a flower`s calyx. The calyx is high-glossed polished inside and out, it plays with the effect of concave and convex curvatures and it draws its viewer`s gaze into its interior, where the boundaries of the form seem no longer comprehensible. The jewellery designer Nina Friesleben uses this baffling effect to manifest her theme of “symbolic form” which refers to the German philosopher Ernst Cassirer. Because the ring is very thin-walled, it was logical for Nina Georgia Friesleben to work with Platinum due to its unique stability.
