Politics is always theatrical staging: of power, proximity, overview, discipline, sociability. The CSU is a popular party, which consistently combines modernness and tradition. The staging actions of the party can ironically be against each other. This happens on the sidelines, behind the stages, during the human and non-political meetings, in the back rooms. This book looks at the staging by the CSU. It does not criticize the representation of politics, instead it is an explanatory documentation - with humour, with distance, but also with understanding.
