The function of apparel stores is not only to offer consumers the items to wear and inspire their desire to wear them. Gallery More in Ilan Lodong also provides an alternative spatial experience completely different to shopping at conventional clothing stores. This concept combines the experience of going to an art museum with the design of the clothing store: clothes are treated like pieces of art, and the experience and action of appreciating and feeling known from art museums is brought into the space. The clothes are framed as if they were priceless artworks. A deliberately created distance expresses the high quality and excellent craftsmanship of the clothing. On the other hand, it also creates room for appreciation of the clothes and the desire to wear them, as the viewer can see all details and enjoy the beauty through the viewing window. Steel frames and clothes supplement each other, emphasizing the characteristics of the clothing and adding to the impression of being in a gallery. The perfect symbiosis of the fun and action of shopping and the quiet and stimulating atmosphere of an art exhibition – two feelings at the same time.
