Echo is a self-sufficient water measuring device which can be used to facilitate environmental monitoring. The measurement process is initiated by GPS. For measuring echo is letting down the measuring probe and takes from the requested depths the respective data. After attaining the probe, the acquired data are transferred to the mainframe. These are saved and forwarded via satellite to the evaluation station. The measuring site can be externally rectified at any time through satellite transmission.
